Wind Power East Phase I
Mälardalen Energy Agency and Örebro Energy Agency started an anchor project to build a regional network that would serve as a driving force and competence base for the sustainable development of wind power in Mälardalen.
The project was implemented in co-operation with public and private stakeholders, and the purpose was to actively influence the conditions for wind power production and help to set environmental objectives.
The project aim, based on regional needs and conditions, was to support and guide a process of creating a collective and cooperative regional network for an aggressive and sustainable development of wind power in the region of Mälardalen.
The goal was to work for more production and better distribution of wind power. The wind power east project promoted growth, innovation and entrepreneurship within the wind power sector. The project’s target groups was municipalities, businesses, organizations and individuals involved or interested in wind power development.
