The Boiler Project
Project information and advice for the heat boilers are based on the EU Regulation, Energy Performance of buildings (2002/91/EG) and has initially been implemented in four regions of Sweden, Jämtland, Skåne, Stockholm and Västra Götaland, commissioned by the Swedish Energy Agency. The project’s goal was to identify the oil-fired boiler stock of 60–500 kW, and provide information and advice to the owners of these boilers. The aim of the operation was to obtain public and private owners with fossil fuel units to implement efficiency and/or convert measures limiting emissions of carbon dioxide and reduce import dependence of fossil fuels. The project was 60 % financed by the Swedish Energy Agency.
The project reached 91 % of the target audience and 67 % of the oil burners reached within the project have an owner who think of this as a prioritized question, are to convert or want further advice of the subject. This means that even this goal has been fully met.
