MobiNet was an EU mobility project in Mälardalen. The project worked with schools to make it more environmentally friendly and easier for children to safely get to and from school. In addition to the efforts for the schools, the project worked for the establishment of a mobility office in the region, and a physical location for distribution of easy-to-understand and easy-to-use travel information. Within MobiNet, the Energy Agency collaborated with four other European countries, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece. The project was funded by Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) and part of the program STEER. The project lasted for 30 months and ended in 2009.
