Energy Efficient Agriculture Phase II
The Energy Agency was granted funding from the Energy Agency to implement Energy Efficient Farming Phase II. This project was a continuation of Energy Efficient Farming Phase I, where a survey and analysis was made of energy use on a farm in Sörmland. Through seminars and study circles, farmers have been informed about energy surveys and potential energy savings at their farms. Phase II has reached 56 farms, and proposed measures have reduced electricity consumption by approximately 255,000 kWh. The project was financed by the Swedish Energy Agency, and lasted between 2008 and 2009. Phase II has resulted in a continuation of the project in the form of Phase III & IV.
